Spring Replacement in Fremont — Same-Day Emergency Service
A homeowner in Fremont heard a loud bang from the garage early in the morning and found the door wouldn't budge. Classic sign of a broken torsion spring. Our team arrived the same day and replaced both springs — the door is back to gliding smoothly.
If your garage door suddenly feels impossibly heavy or won't open at all, it's almost always a broken spring. Don't try to force it open — the tension involved makes this a job for professionals with the right tools and training.
3 Warning Signs Your Garage Door Springs Are Wearing Out
Springs don't usually fail without warning. Here are three signs yours are on the way out:
1. The door feels heavier than usual when you lift it manually. Healthy springs do most of the heavy lifting — when they weaken, you'll notice the difference.
2. The door doesn't open all the way. If it stops short or struggles to reach the top, the springs may not have enough tension to lift the full weight.
3. Visible gaps in the coils. Torsion springs should have evenly spaced coils. If you see stretched sections or gaps, replacement is overdue.
Most springs last 7–10 years with normal use. Catching these signs early can save you from a sudden failure — and a car stuck in the garage.
New Garage Door Installation in Pleasanton
This Pleasanton homeowner upgraded from a faded, dented 20-year-old door to a modern insulated steel door with frosted windows. The transformation in curb appeal was immediate — and the insulated panels will help keep the garage (and the room above it) more comfortable year-round.
Every installation includes removal and haul-away of the old door, professional balancing, new weatherseal, and a full safety check before we leave.
California SB-969 Battery Backup — What You Need to Know
Since 2019, California law requires all new garage door openers to include battery backup. If your opener was installed before 2019, you're grandfathered in — but if you're upgrading or replacing your opener, battery backup is now mandatory.
The good news: modern openers with battery backup are quieter, smarter (smartphone control), and more secure than older models. It's a worthwhile upgrade even if the law didn't require it. We install LiftMaster and Chamberlain openers that all include built-in battery backup.

We're grateful for customers who take the time to share their experience. A recent Oakland customer called for an emergency repair after their garage door cable snapped over the weekend. Our team arrived the same day, and the repair was done within the hour.
With 37 five-star Google reviews, we're proud of the reputation we've built over 17 years in the Bay Area. Every job gets the same attention to detail — whether it's a quick adjustment or a full installation.
5-Minute Garage Door Maintenance You Can Do Today
Most homeowners never think about their garage door until something breaks. Here are three quick maintenance tasks that take less than five minutes and can prevent expensive repairs:
Lubricate. Spray white lithium grease on hinges, rollers, and spring coils every six months. Skip WD-40 — it's a cleaner, not a lubricant, and dries out quickly.
Listen. Open and close the door and pay attention. Grinding, scraping, or popping sounds mean something needs attention.
Test the safety reverse. Place a 2x4 flat on the ground under the door and press close. The door should reverse within two seconds of touching the board. If it doesn't, your safety sensors need adjustment — call a pro.
